Default Merc A45 CLA 45

Do you think these will carry an AMG premium for servicing

any ideas how much.

I know the M3 is near on 1000 for a service at the dealers

Yes, of course it will.

I'll be surprised if such a highly strung engine came with a once every 2 years or 20k interval too.

The servicing is expensive enough at Merc without the AMG premium

I think there are better cars for the money than the A45 CLA to be frank.

As for the recall I haven't seen that on the Merc forums, but I suppose we should at least be grateful that some manufacturers do a recall for engine issues

i agree i remember my mates e250 blowing up and being towed to a manchester branch of merc, we were on our way to chester zoo and had kids in tow.

We sat in there for 5 hours waiting for enterprise car rental ( part of the merc courtesy car scheme ) to roll up, they did only to say that because my mate hadnt the green paper sheet from his Driving lics, he could have the loan car.

Evevntually my mate stood in the centre of the showroom and asked for the manager,

Hasten to say we then got a car from him to go home, with Kids crying

utter ****eness

If you want reliability and aftersales you need to look outside of the 'German' marques. Suggesting you go for a VW over Mercedes is jumping out of the frying pan...
They are all pretty much as bad as each other, relying on previously attained records of reliability and good build quality to sell their cars.
