Default New car advice

My wife is looking for a new family car which will ferry about a new born and a 2 year old.

Just trying to engage peoples experienced opinions on the following cars we have narrowed it down too. Looking for the years between 2004 - 2008 range with 60k or less with full service history, 1.4-1.8 ltrs, 5 door

Peugeot 207/307
VW Golf Mk5
Ford Focus

Are there any known problems with either cars, if so what?
And common problems which we should be aware off?
Sufficient space for 2 baby seats in the rear? The renault clio isn't roomy enough now that the 2 year is getting taller.

Any experience with either cars is much appreciated.
