3k sports car with 4 seats
Currently mulling over what car we may end up getting and as we have a 2 YO, we really need 4 seats, but other than a TT, what is there?
I could go for a small hot hatch, but that isn't what I really fancy and although the TT is a girls car, the missus used to own one and though not fast or great handling etc, its still a decent motor.

Could be tempted, yep.
Used to own an R56 model and thought it was great, but don't know much about the R53's?
Even passed a 172/182 Clio through my head, but I vow'd never to have a Renault due to reliability...

I figure she'll be climbing in and out the car on her own soon, as she's doing quite well there, but I can see what you mean.
Thanks to others for the quality answers...

I've had a 172 which was perfectly reliable for 35k miles but it just didn't feel quick enough. Mate at the same time had a CTR which in the real world was no quicker but it felt faster and way more capable!

Good suggestions, thanks.
We always had a hanker for a Type-R, so that's a definite consideration, though I did have a test drive a long time ago and it never felt particularly quick....though as the other half will be using it, we don't really need a VERY quick car. As long as it's something that drives well and looks decent. Couldn't own a car that doesn't look good in my eyes.
The ST in blue is a car I could go for, but I seriously doubt the missus would want it and that goes the same for the S4...
