bmw 320d - worth the risk
so ive got a 2009 facelift n47 bmw....a ticking time bomb?
no problems yet but is it worth keeping vs the worry of the timing chain failure? is it a certainty it will fail or might most cars never need any work?
its done 83k with full bmw history but i feel like chopping it in for a audi estate tbh.
only +ve is that its the 2009 facelift so it does not require the new crank if it starts knocking.
anyone else on here thought about choppin theirs in cos of the obd theft and timing chain issues?
I can image prices have taken a hit because of this

Just had our 335d (yes a different engine but still a BMW diesel!) serviced - flew through that and a recent MOT, the guy said it's still as solid as new. Not bad for a 6 year old, 52k mile car! Makes changing it tricky.
Look after it and I'm sure you'll be fine.
