Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.....

This morning my car developed a slight issue. It does not idle smoothly and when accelerating, either gently or more aggressively, i seem to get small splutterings so that the acceleration is not smooth but with a some of small jerks/hesitations.

if I take my foot off the accelerator and roll from 60 to 40 there is no issue but of i accelerate normally from 40 - 60 then there is an issue.

It seems to be more prominent when accelerating gently.
