Default MX-5 Supercharge or Turbo?

I am in the process of cleaning up and uprating all the old bit's on ethe Mixer. It's only done 110K (kms) and is still bloody good for a 1991 built car. It's got uprated front brakes (1.8 conversion) and is a JDM V-Spec Eunos 1.6.

The plan was just to freshen things up bit I now fancy a bit more shove and cannot decide between forced induction from a SC or a Turbo. I have a thread in Projects.

I can source a 2nd hand Mini SC for about £400 and the TD 05 Turbo's are also cheap. I have still to speak with TR Lane or 5 - Speed about costs and what's involved but have read that they are both pretty good avenues to go down but most prefer the SC.

So a couple of questions really.

1. Anyone driven a MX-5 with either an SC or Turbo conversion?

2. Have you done the conversion and how was the cost?

On the MK1 there was a turbo special edition, (BBR turbo) so it might be more authentic to go the turbo route. Pretty sure sure the basic block is from the 323 turbo anyway so V easy conversion.
I had for a little while a super charged MK2. Its was a HKS conversion if memory serves me right, and it was around 2K, it felt fantastic with the SC one, more more linear power delivery. And a bit of a Q car.
Have a look at www.mx5parts.co.uk

Went in a very nicely done Supercharged one with around 200 bhp, was pretty quick, think 240 bhp is probably as much as you could ever need in an MX5.
