Question

A mate of mine has one of these and is experiencing an a lot of misfire when the engine is under load, it gets worse when hot yet is almost perfect when cold.
Anyone any ideas as to what the problem could be, he has it booked in for a specialist to sort it out at the end of the month but he is getting impatient and wondered whether anyone would have any useful hints as to what could be at fault.

I'm no expert but my first guess is something wrong with the ignition/HT leads. If there is some damage there as they get warmer the misfire should in theory get worse too, plus there might be problems under full load if you have a weak spark. That's my guess but that's all I can say it is.

Thats what we reckond but new leads and plugs have eliminated that possible cause.
We agree it could be the coil pack so thanks for your advice.
