Default Skoda Fabia rear discs

Was going to send my 2005 runabout into the garage for new rear discs, but thought i might change them myself. Does it require any Torx type sockets? Got a full socket set at work but dont have Torx

You will need a tool to wind the rear calipers in!

That caught my neighbour out changing his rear pads on an A3. Late Sunday afternoon with his car on axel stands, old pad out and no way of getting the new ones in. Really screwed the start of his week up until he managed to get the tool to wind the pistons back in to get the new pads in.

Lesson to me.....get a garage to do it

Nik.

Did mine within the past 2-3 months...

8mm allen key if you need the carriers off (the need seems questionable, some say they've done it without.)
Disk retaining screw can be screwdriver cross head but mine was Torx... T30, ISTR, so I bought a T30 impact bit from eBay or Amazon.

The aforementioned caliper rewind tool (15 quid from Amazon). ISTR a Laser 1314.

Other than that, a reasonable socket set and/or or the odd slimmer spanner or adjustable wrench... And something to bash a disk off if stuck to the hub. On mine one was easy and the other required bashing leaving a pile of rust on the drive.

If they've gone the usual way of rusting from the outside edge in, best to replace the pads at the same time IMO.
