New Range Rovers rear end
#1
I was driving along on Saturday and I could have sworn I was behind an overfed mini. Well would you credit it,it was a new Range Rover. Has anyone else come across this phenomenon or is it just my eyesight going in my old age.

Overpriced?! - I don't think so. My old man's got a 4.6HSE and it's worth every penny he paid for it. Travelling anywhere in it is like no other experience.
As for the new Range Rover - all I have is admiration for what the designers have done both inside and out!

range rover and worth every penny.....hmmmmmmmmm not words i would expect in the same sentence....
let me cast my mind back, cost me £35k for an 18 month old 4.6 hse (pity the fool that paid £45k for it new!) servicing on paper was fine £300 and £500 but everytime it went in they found a sack full of stuff not covered, exhaust, cat, bushes etc and it never came out with a bill less than a grand!
15 mpg average all the time (cost me £80 to go from brighton to derby!).
and when i traded it in for the scoob 10 months later the average i was being offered was about £12-£15k, couldnt sell it privately at all, eventually managed to beat a dealer into giving me £20k for it as he wanted it to tow his daughters horses etc.
So in 10 months dropped from £35k to £20k (in 28 months from 45k new to 20k!!!), had three services costing me £1k+ each time and god knows how much fuel (hence why you never here me moaning about scooby fuel economy lol)
Still, it is a supremely comfortable and effortless and one of my favourite cars, but dont think it could ever be described as worth every penny, in fact once our 530d estate is past its prime i think i'll go for an x5, stolen the best bits of range rover without the worst bits mentioned above.
