Default Valuation.

Anyone with access to Classes Guide?

59 plate, Nissan 370Z GT with Sat-Nav. 7500 miles. Manual.

Called round at a dealer today just to see if they would be interested. Yes they would, but at £14000.

That seems a little silly to me.

Anyone know what I the true value would be?

Was thinking more like £17-18k trade. £20k private sale.

Wouldn't have thought you'd get 20k selling it private...maybe 18-19k.

14 does sound low for trade in, but it's never gonna get a good price trading it in.

In this market it will be £2k less than you think it should be worth.

In a better market I sold a BMW coupe that was typically £21k at dealers with similar condition and mileage. Best trade offer I got was £14k.

Currently a '59 GT is typically £21,995 in the trade - they will go for somewhere between £19-21k.

£14-15k trade is the most I think you should expect.

It's also a bad time of year as Christmas is coming up.

Why would any one with, at least, a partial interest in cars ever a want a Glass's price?

Not a dig Stilover, but don't go chucking away thousands upon thousands of pounds to car dealers.

These on line valuations should always be taken with the biggest pinch of salt.

autotrader will tell you what they are advertised at, not what they actually sell for

although I do think looking through places like Autotrder do give you a better grasp of a the actual value of a car than these guides

I think anyone with anything "sporty" for sale now is going to be disappointed: rising insurance and fuel costs have put paid to a lot of fun on the road.

how many people on here can't sell impreza's ? and we're not talking about them being rubbish cars: reliability, speed, handling etc is second to none.......... but few can afford to really run them

how many equally are just second cars, or weekend cars

They seem to be giving out some pretty good prices at the minute.

just put our transit in, due to the stupid low emmision zone its worthless in Jan, so it will be sold soon. Its a 2001, 89000 but pretty tatty and a Cat C write off. with all items ticked as poor quality they offered 1600 + vat. might pay them a visit soon.

Really?

Off to have a look .............

EDIT.
Hmmm, just had a look. Might just book an appointment now. No doubt they'll try to get that figure down, but the car is spotless.

I'd put it on autotrader/piston heads for 18.5k. It'd be the 2nd cheapest on autotrader to a cat d.
