Will it happen with the Impreza Cosworth? Only time will tell.

Pretty much guaranteed tbh. No performance cars are holding money at the moment. Nobody wants the running costs

It is sad. Would the owners of the Cossie be more likely to put the car away, and the Focus owners drive it and use it? The Focus is a Focus after all!!

Think one main issue was as far as I know you coukd buy the performance pack and have it fitted to the normal rs and keep the warranty so other than a badge and paint what did you get

You could also get the Mountune pack on the ST to get it into RS territory, and beyond.......... makes the RS500 seem even more of an unattractive prospect.

You'll never see any Focus RS revered or waxed lyrical about like a 22B, that I can guarantee.

Nope, no rally pedigree you see. They rallyed (sp) Focii, but not 2 wheel drive ones

People may have tried it on, but they were 35k new as above. The crisis in value is a little over stated!

If you had the money to buy one for 50K I doubt you would really care if you lost 10-15K.

I dont know, that is like losing 15k twice. Once when you pay 15k over the odds, then the second time when the furore dies down and the car is worth 35k again. And you still only have a Ford Focus.

If anyone bought one for 50K which Im not sure anyone did, I would think it would be an RS collector or someone with a load of money who doesnt care about the money.
It's not only a Focus really either and to be fair its a cracking car. Imo of course.

It'll never be held in the same esteem as the RS500, same as the 22B, Integrale, Quattro, M3 E30 either. No pedigree and I dont personally dont think it brings anything new to the table.

I was followed by a white one some time back which booted past me, it looked like a washing machine.

Call me thick by all means but, is it not advertised at £35,999? I don't see where the £15k loss comes in?

Also LOL at 'it's just a Focus'. So basically an Impreza WRX STI 22B RA V Limited JDM Spec C Cosworth PPP... is just an Impreza, but with added on bits, no?

As for pedigree or heritage, the car you buy in a showroom doesn't even come close to Group N levels never mind WRC so that argument is a pile of sh!te too!

Washing machine, shut up!

this thread should read " Focus RS holds its money realy well over the year"

TBH i dont think the car is worth much more than standard RS
and peel the matt wrap off you have a nice panther BLACK shiney RS thats what i would do
