Question

Anyone tried 'boosting' their fuel up to 100 RON in any type R (ITR, ATR or CTR) and noticed any appreciable difference in performance.......?

I vaguely remember something about the first Civic Type R - wasnt it dependent on 100 RON for max BHP/performance ???

Cheers,

Gastro

you wont get to 100 ron with millers and Optimax unless you take the cat off and use CVL.Octane plus and Optomax is 99.3 ish.I use it in an Alfa 147 and it goes like **** off a stick.

I own a JDM CTR, and use BP super, and Octane booster on trackdays. Never seem to be shy of BHP thou, from a driving point of view, and has not affected my lap times in any way, not that i time my laps

It is purely a safety measure.

I have a De-Cat, and use NOS, or and NF, which i prefer to use rather than Millers, some one emailed a 5 page Octane Booster test and they came out best and are reletively easy to get hold of.
