Being a Citroen i personally would run a mile!!!

depending on what year they are,

The Berlingos immobilisor is done inside the speedo head which will need re-programming to the key transponder and ECU,

Best bet would be to strip right down to the bare block and use the sensors and ancillaries from the original vehicle, however the differece between the 1.6 and 1.4 will cause fuelling issues!!

Find me a 1.6 16v LPG berlingo van for sub £1k

You might not bother but this is what I do, I'm a petrolhead that gets his hands dirty and enjoys the fruits of his labour

The Berlingo is a 2001 and the Saxo 1999, I could use the full saxo loom but it will mean a lot of extending wires rather than just splicing 2 looms, Can't see the wiring being a problem, I worked as an auto elec for a fair few years!

you'll have to use the saxo loom in the berlingo including the ECU ect,

You may have to tie the saxo immobilisor transponder from the key into the reciever to bypass the immobilisor as it is tied into the ECU,

Also the Berlingo immobilisor is tied into the speedo head PITA!!

Have fun on this project

I had a Berlingo 1.9D

Hateful thing: 70mph flat out with the ladders on the roof

No help I'm afraid. But I think your best course is gettibg as much of the Saxo electronics/electrics in to the Berlingo, rather than trying to splice it together.
