Alfa MiTo - weird steering?
Anyone driven one of these? Had one for a few days and the power steering was the strangest I have ever felt. Super light below 20mph and then weighted up but had a vague feeling at centre - then at motorway speeds seemed to wander all over the place, had to really concentrate to keep it in the lanes. With the DNA thingy switched to Dynamic it felt almost solid but still with the weird self centre action but totally vague with it. God knows what the front wheels were doing but certainly not connected to the steering wheel!

I bought a year old (10k miles) Mito 120 in March, had it 3 weeks before i had enough
Rear washer pipe kept comming off (under windscreen scuttle panel)
Heater motor made a racket - motor replaced
Paint chipping on rear arches was like pebbledash - needed full respray (common problem on alfa red)
Knocking from rear - needed rear shocks - that's when i gave up
worst newish car i've ever had, shame really as it was ok to drive

Vagueness at speed could be the tracking on the front is toeing out or running zero toe in. Or the front suspenion bushes and/or front track rod ball joints are knackered, this would espescially apply to cars being driven up and down curbs when parking.
My Impreza was like that when I first had it (within allowable limits though), and you wouldn't belive how horrible it was when pressing on.
