Hello,

I have a GTTDi 130 bhp Mk4 golf with climate control. Recently however the aircon has stopped working, the fans still work however I believe the compressor is not switching on.

I took it to my garage and they said it doesn't need re-gassing. I have tried changing the pressure switch and the facia and neither has fixed it.

When the garage gave the aircon a direct feed (not using the facia) it did work and chilled the car

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong.

I have posted this on VW forums but had no replies atm.

Make sure you check the part numbers, the last letter is different depending on engine
