Well unless you've got to give up the Scooby - don't!

I traded my MY98 for a Silver CTR last November and haven't looke back since. It's not quicker to 60 than a pre-Bugeye but once rolling threre's really nothing in it!

My problem was the servicing and fuel on the Scooby. I became a high mileage driver last October and simply couldn't justify Impreza costs at the moment.

Other benefits are:

Servicing: every 12k against every 7.5k
MPG: 24-26 in the Scooby. 32-36 in the CTR
Insurance: £798 in the Scooby. £604 in the CTR
Warranty: 60k/3yrs in the Scooby. 90k/3yrs in the CTR
also much simpler to get a claim!

One thing to note: The engine doesn't really loosen up for a couple of thousand miles. Mine's MUCH quicker with 6k on the clock than it was new. The VTEC grin is just as addictive as the Turbo-kick grin.

Both the Impreza and the CTR are cars that sit in the garage saying 'drive me please'
