Hello all

I'm lucky enough to be able to keep my Scoob as a second weekend car...but need some help choosing something to replace my ageing '92 Mercedes 190 daily run around.

I do about 4k per year and it's mainly use trudging back and forth to the train station but will use it for the odd long run.

What I want...
Something decent and a bit of fun
Something with good load space, so a big boot or estate
Because of the low mileage I do i don't necessarily need a derv...
Budget up to 9-10k

Things I've been looking at:
merc e-class - crap build quality until '06 which then makes them too expensive
BMW 530d sport touring - hard to find a good low mileage one
Discovery & Defender 90s - a bit too basic and what's with the mpg!
