Vauxhall or Toyota company car?

Vauxhall or Toyota company car?
There's a job come up at my company, which comes with a company car - any car you like as long as it's from the Vauxhall or Toyota range - just pay the supplement over and above a Corsa or Yaris.
So is there any glimmer of hope within either range, a car which may at least increase pulse rate for a petrolhead, or perhaps at the very least be regarded as good? Anything from the VXR range? Auris SR180? Insignia CDTi190? Something new in 2011?

That was replaced by the vxr8 that isn't made anymore. I had a drive of a insignia Vxr but was really disappointed by the performance. The astra vxr is ok for a hot hatch but vxl are bringing a new one out in 2011.

That was my conclusion too. Not even a 4x4 to rival a Discovery/Q7/XC90 or a crossover. VXR models are included though. Maybe the forthcoming Astra GTC could be interesting.

Neither company is particuarly exciting but I guess the Corsa or Astra VXR's would be the cars to look at?
I had a drive in the Toyota MR2 once, that was quite fun with the top down too

If you'd poke me with a ****ty stick; An Insignia VXR, Doubt you'd justify a VXR8, they are very good to drive, but just too sodding big to be practical (not to mention the tax levy).
I don't think Toyota make anything worth sniffing at at the moment. (think the SR180 is no longer made)
Anyway if Toyota is mentioned, is there a chance you could sway them for a Honda instead? I'd make do with a fully loaded Accord 2.2DETEC; not the fastest, but frugal and a nice place to sit in.

Just get a low emissions fully loaded Insignia. Drive it around in absolute comfort, saving pounds in petrol. Then go and get a second car that is more of a toy. That's what I did. I do huge miles in my bog standared Vectra. I really enjoy driving it. I might be getting old but its really comfortable and I do 40 miles to the gallon. Meanwhile, at home I have my Impreza.
