LMAO at "automatics are so hard to drive"

Step 1: Mash accelerator
Step 2: Steer
Step 3: Lift at desired speed

....how hard can it be?

People who drive big engine cars always underestimate VTS's and end up with egg on their face.

I agree those little saxo vts are quite fast as standard! abit of tuning and they can give big engine cars go!

The Supra is a 3.0 N/A auto and they aren't fast cars because they are so heavy and the auto box kills them. The result doesn't surprise me.

The auto isn't an issue. I'm sure the auto is actually quicker than the manual in these (certainly at TT level)

0-60 is about 6.5 though so always going to be close.

5t.

350bhp! Wow, when I used to have my Saxo the most powerful one in the UK at the time was supercharged and had around 250bhp (enough to beat an M3 down the 1/4m). How are they getting 350bhp out of them? Is that with an engine swap?

^^ Amazing engineering but come on ... how can it hold the power down with 2WD (or is it 4?).

TX.

Tuned car beats standard car shocker!

In other news: Pope caught wearing funny hat, bear arrested for woodland defecation.

Serves the Supra owner right - he was clearly trying to show off and got it wrong. If he'd won there would have been no 'glory', and by losing he looks a pillock.

shock horror, a mega mod'd car beats a standard car.

i can appreciate the engineering that goes into them, but its not the best starting point for a track weapon.

It's highly unlikely any of the cars in the video were standard

supra wouldn't be too far off engine wise judging by the lack of pick up from it.

I'm not surprised to be honest. The stats on the cars are pretty similar.

Saxo : 935Kg : 117bhp
Supra : 1430Kg : 220bhp

And that's at standard
