New Toyota Prius
Anyone got one
Hardly a performance car, but now I'm all green it goes with the image.
As they are such low tax it makes an interesting company car proposition. AT least a £50-£70 odd pound saving a month over a passat or somethign like that.

Someone should rip that puppy apart and stuff a 10litre V8 under the hood
otherwise they should be paying you tax-back to drive it

I had a similar thought earlier this year. The new one actually looks good too.
.........but was soon cured of the idea by going to a dealer and sitting in one. Where do they get those interior materials?!! It makes the Auris look like the height of luxury.
The other thing that bothers me is what happens when the batteries inevitably degrade. The fuel consumption which is not that good to start with will get worse and you'll be left with a very heavy underpowered petrol car. Presumably the cost of replacing batteries would write the car off.
There's nothing "green" about that car. The greenest thing everyone can do is stop buying new cars and look after their old ones.......... not a good line on the old manifesto though is it?
