Hey guys,

It's that time again I need to get e new car, I have a small budget of about 6-7K. I need advice on a good car for this kind of money, here is the list of potential cars, can you guys help me decide and advice me on the below cars:-

1) Scooby (WRX or UK Turbo) L-N plate (what is the differece between the import and UK turbo)

2) Mazda RX7 93-94 Import (I've seen a few @ this price!!!)

3) Mitsubishi Evo 1-3 (Are these any good?)

Any other ideas?

Thanks guys.....

For your budget of £6-7K there are quite a few cars that fall into that bracket.
Some others for you to consider are nissan Skyline R32 GTS 4-Turbo
which comes with a 2.0l single turbo engine instead of the GT-R's 2.6 twin turbo and so I would imagine it is alot cheaper to insure. It has the same Super HICAS system as well I think, along with the same alloys as the GT-R but with smaller section tyres. If you was to stick a GTR front bumper and rear spoiler on most people would not be able to tell the difference.

Another is the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R afraid I don't know much about these apart from that I think they use the same engine as is found in the Nissan 200sx with known weak points being the gearbox and the standard brakes.

Nissan 200sx which is regarded as a bit softly sprung but a good motorway muncher and rear wheel drive.

Toyota Soarer 2.5 Twin turbo Limited 1991-1993 is in this bracket as well and these are usually loaded with loads of electronic toys and come in either auto or manual boxes and are more suited to motorway munching.

It all depends on what you want out of a car really. Once you have decided the best thing you can do is arrange a test drive of the models that you like the look of best and go from there. Personally I would go for the Impreza WRX

What about a Celica GT 4? A mate has got one (with a lot of mods) and they seem strong and well engineered. £6k would get you the best of the older shape, or a newer shape car with more miles on it. He bought his with 40k miles, and now has done approx 100k miles without major problems.

Much underrated in my opinion
