I know a few guys who have imported from http://www.eurocar-direct.co.uk for most things including BMW's (not an M3 though) and they seem pretty reliable. Your main problem is going to be the waiting time.

Also with a german sourced car you may have to pay german VAT depending on how your import company handles it. This will be paid back once you prove payment of UK VAT but still means you have to source another few k to cover it - but if you can afford an M3 then I guess that aint too much of an issue
