Not got a westfield but got a 7 style car.
Well under 700kg more like 550kg at the most, with a 2.0 zetec engine and throttle bodies, Its so much fun in the summer only cost me £5500.

Could have been a Westfield or a Dax, possibly a Locost. Engine could have been a turbo'd cossie pinto or a turbo Hayabusa (sp?) bike engine. These are the popular routes with the turbo kit cars

I have had various Caterhams. I still have a turbo K series motor in my garage that came out of a Caterham hill climb car from Austria that I still intend on putting in a car one day.

I now run another "kit" type car with a bike engine.

400kg, 160bhp, 12,000 rpm...

What car do you have then billythekid as 400kg is good going?! Ours is around the 500ish and we're in the process of trying to lose weight from it but we're struggling now!

Its a Fury. Its got the light body on it and its got a 900cc motor.

It also rather lacking in anything other than the basics, so no reverser, all ali trim, no doors, no windscreen, plastic fuel tank etc etc. Its just a chassis with a body over the top I guess!

The guy who built it builds light a/c for a living so he used some rather expensive fixings on the car to keep it light.

That sounds awesome. I quite fancy building my own. Will have to look into it for potential future project.

Love the idea of a bike engine howing with an incredible power to weight ratio.
