Looks like this is the long rumoured Focus RS500 in matt black. There are 101 coming to the UK with a 350 hp Mountune power upgrade which is going to be available as an aftermarket extra for any RS Focus.Price is going to be an eyewattering £35k.

More like an RS owner has had his car either re-sprayed of Vinyl wrapped.

£35k to look like a complete muppet?
No no and no again.
Makes an already OTT car look like it's been crashed, reversed and then crashed again into a particularly low rent Halfords store.
It makes the metalwork look like poor quality plastic.

ST500
Either it has 500 BHP or a 5litre engine. This has neither. I have no interest that there are 499 other ones.
And what if one of the other 499 gets written off? Do you need to change the badge to ST499?
This has obviously not been thought through.

I heard the RS500 will be 4WD.
All those who bought the FWD wheelspinning, torque steering Chav hatch will lose thousands. Green ones are to be hit the worst.
Just what I heard.

IMHO its wrong to use the RS500 badge.
The RS500 was an ICON and still is.
It would be like Ferrari producing a super mini and calling it the "Dino JNR" or something.
Would be better to call it the Focus RS 350 or something.

Agree regarding the name. There is, and only shall be one RS500 in my eyes.
Agree too regarding it should be called the RS350 (or whatever bhp it's going to have)
Just goes to show marketing departments have no real substance when it comes to knowing what the history of a brand means to it's customers.
