Got one myself running Stage 2 - 260 bhp and 320 lbs/ft. Great fun, handle like no other hot hatch i've driven and build quality isn't too bad either! The only thing they need from standard is more power as the chassis and brakes can take so much more.

As long as your aware that anything with electrics can & probably will go wrong then you should be ok. Everyone I know whose had a Renault has had issues. Mainly electric windows stop working. I told my brother this but he still went ahead and bought a Megane Turbo and after 1 month drivers window went and a little while later the passenger side.
Excellent engines and handling. If they could sort out the electrical gremlins then theyd have a great package.
