Keep it simple; Keep it air cooled; Keep it light.

993 Turbo.
Apart from the dashboard, I think it's my favorite 911 variant. Would have a 993 Turbo over a 996 or 997 anyday.
Having said that, the 997 GT3 looks awsome.

I love the idea of the GT3 and RS but they are so damn loud, so "focussed" that I reckon they'd be wearing after a while. Not back seatlets either. Still wouldn't mind attempting to live with one though...!

They're not loud! And having driven one 500 miles in one day it was fine. Less wearing than a quieter car that not so good to drive.
As Chris Harris said of the latest GT3 RS after his day out being scared witless by Francois, "the most amazing thing about the car was not it's brilliance at 10/10ths, it was how comfortable it was driving home".

Being more realistic, I would happily 'settle' for a 997 Carrera 2 S. Black or grey with black leather and a sunroof - not that I've given this any thought of course!

993 GT2 without a doubt.

Unfortunately at around £170k it won't ever happen...

A 964 Turbo 3.6 - in black - the car from Bad Boys,
Looks lovely in my eyes and has the proper curves. A car for the weekend I think !
But have to agree with Matteeboy that a 997 is pretty much all that I think I would ever need from a car - Turbo cab would be very nice - but would happlily take a 4S cab instead !

Turn the dampers on and the sports mode and its a different beast
I was very very impressed with the car, it really is almost two cars in one...ok i've not driven one but from the passenger seat i see it very hard to get bored of.....i've started saving
As for no rear seats, the roll cage would make it uncomfortable for re seat passengers on a serious note, unless your passengers have no legs then there is little point of getting anything but a two seater.
All just my observations

A GT3 with a comfort mode - what will they think of next
In the 996 you can get rear seat belts put in and even little seats.
In the 997 it would be very dangerous as the floorpan in the rear is single skinned for lightness
Anyway - who wants kids in the back screaming as you wind it up to even 8/10ths!
It clearly is a different beast as my son would always shout at me to go faster in the Scoob, in the GT3 he really doesn't like going fast.

Who's the daddy?
2 sequential turbos, 4wd, 444bhp, 0-62mph 3.7 seconds, 0 - 100mph 8.3 seconds, tops out just shy of 200mph.
And all that back in 1986. Things haven't really moved on that much in the last 24 years have they?
