Rumhours have been kicking around for years, last I heard it wouldn't be out until the next generation Focus, as the 4WD system wouldn't fit in with the rear suspension of the current one, if memory serves, the next gen Focus is out next Autumn with the Cossie version to follow the following Spring/Summer. Price was to be between £30k and £35k.
Hopefully it will be released, but given the delays so far I'll not be holding my breath.

Cosworth has split into two separate companies
Cosworth Racing is owned by Ford
Cosworth Technology is owned by Audi (well VWG)
The rights to the name are still owned by Ford so a Focus Cosworth could happen without any problems....

Ford specifically retained the rights to be the ONLY manufacturer allowed to use the 'Cosworth' name on a road car, must be a reason for that methinks .
So RICHIE1, get your facts right
FORD and COSWORTH

cosworth designed the head for the vauxhall 16valve (not the new ecoshyte engine) and then vauxhall took over and produced the head and stuck a turbo on it....unless you aint talkin standard

Give that man a ceeegar
Almost right but only those interested in Vauxhall would know the full story I guess
Cosworth designed the 2.0 16v engine (20XE) and made the early ones (1989-1990). Vauxhall then took the manufacture in-house for the later 20XE engines (this is N/A versions)
The turbo'd version (C20LET) uses the exact same head but most of the heads used in these engines were again manufactured directly by Cosworth and not Vauxhall. This can be seen by the "COSCAST" stamp just below exhaust port 2.
Not 100% confirmed was the fact that Cosworth designed the head as a turbo'd unit but Vauxhall decided not to get the turbo at this point (1989-1992) and then brought the turbos out (1993 - onwards)
Someone can now tell me if I am wrong or right here (not sure) but one of the reasons it was simply called a Cavalier Turbo and not a Cavalier Cosworth was Ford had got Cosworth to agree only to be able to use that name on their cars (from a certain year onwards). Not 100% sure on that but have heard of it.
