Default Audi A4 2.0 Tdi....

Any one owned one?
Test drove a 56 plate SE estate model yesterday,
I thought it was great but dont no much about them..
Looked on the net after and saw the s-line version which looked even better!!
Opinions please..

We have an a4 cabriolet 2.0 tdi 06 model, its a really good drive and the build quality is really good, a bit slow but ive had a deisel box put on and it made a world of difference and its better on fuel now.

Cheers Dougie

Sline all the way, big wheels

Beal i have an A4 Avant Sline (dog on board), economical, solid build, quick enough, only 150 quid or so to tax, practical, yada yada yada......
Ignore a certain persons opinions, think an Sline wheel ran over his foot at some point.

Nik.

S-Line may look better to the uninformed with a dash of chav tendencies but the reality is a crashy, poor ride the ruins one ace card of a sorted Audi - it's ride quality. To me S-Line is just for S and RS wannabees that don't care how the car handles - especially on small engined models.

Get proper wheels and enjoy the benefits.

My A4 3.2 cab is an s-line quattro and it's fantastic. Ride quality is superb, handling good so not sure what bus Matteeboy was in ;-)

(Although to be fair he does say the smaller engined models...)

Running costs are stupid though, £405 tax, £180 a tyre, servicing bit rich... Questionable customer service from local dealer...

It's fine on a 3.2... and you probably can't notice the ride issues in a cab anyway

For a website forum designed for Scooby enthusiasts, I'm surprised at the number of those wanting all show and no go. My cousin's A6 2.7TDi S-Line should be a luxury car - it's not because the 19" S-Line wheels and stupid suspension completely ruin it His kids hate it.
