Default New E Class

Has anyone got one yet ? Have you heard any horror stories ?
I quite fancy the E350 Cdi Sport Estate as a replacement for my 535d. I know it doesnt have anywhere near the performance of the 535d but its basically just a comfort cruiser i need for me, kids & the dogs as i wouldnt let the mutts in my RR (Cream everywhere )
I have heard that the E220 & E250 Cdi both have issues with injectors.
I picked the E350 cdi due to there only be £1500 rrp difference between that & the E250 cdi.

Cheers

I think they've gone too Yank looking.

Good engines but surprised the 350 is not more powerful than the 320 - hardly any difference.

250 engine seems like a good buy to me.

I like the shape of it tbh, seems to have moved on from the previous one which i had both 320 estate & saloon.
The 250 looks good on paper but loaded with football kit, kids & dogs i'd rather have the extra punch of the 350.
I'll book a drive for next week sometime i think.

I'll defo pop along next week. Its all down to cost to change i suppose & if i like the drive compared to the 535d although the dog chariot at the moment is a horrible 9-3 ttid aero so anything remotely better will be an upgrade

Horrible indeed - rebadged Vauxhall that makes you look like an architect!

You got run flats on your 5er? If you have the ride of the Merc will be much smoother. If you have changed them to non RFTs (I have) then it'll be closer ride wise. Best thing I have ever done on a car is ditch the RFTs!

I bought it for a rep who left , & it does 30mpg so rather than give it to a new rep who'll waste money on fuel i've took it to use as a semi van Its going next month as i have ordered mondeos for the staff & the dealer is taking it off my hands. I paid 14k for it 7 months ago & he's giving me what i paid for it so can complain apart from it being a really horrible car.
No i spec'd the 5 without rft's, I dont honestly know what BMW where thinking about when they invented them, my previous 5 had them removed also. I really cant complain about the previous E's i had either drove like a dream but i like a change often

I think BMW are finally giving up on RFTs - they are about to be an option. Took them a while though.

Mine doesn't even have a jack or wheel nut brace - WTF?! Just got a 12v inflator and tyre weld. TBH if I get a flat I'll probably just call BMW Assist!

Good luck with the E350 - be keen to hear what you think of it compared to the 5er.
