Question Focus ST to Blob STI

Has anyone sold their ST and moved to a Blob eye STI. I should have bought one in the first place but went for the ST instead, whilst the ST is great at most things I still want an STI . Please don't mention the difference between FWD and AWD

Cheers
Geesta

Blob eye STI is the one Subaru I really liked, you might notice the cheap trims and noisier cabin compared to the ST - but they are small things. Having traction will be a first

The blob (with aftermarket exhaust... or even just a de-cat centre section and prodrive backbox) sounds sooo much better then the Ford

I can't get traction at all not even in the dry. It does not torque steer though

I went from a 300+bhp FRS to an STi and I miss the Focus everyday because it gott the looks and thumbsup of so many people. The Sti is quick but feels cheap, 4wd is fun though. I'm thinking of buying the FRS back and keeping the STi as well, but I'm getting tight on space now.

So would the answer be to mod the ST? I've got a Dreamscience Stragem hand set which is good but not STI quick.

So I went to my locall Subaru dealer today to view the 2 Hawkeye STI's in stock. Spoke to the salesman you gave my all the bull**** about BHP figures . Talked about how quick my ST was he seemed to like it, asked to book a test drive he said NO not without deposit first. Who puts a deposit down on a second hand car before they drive it I'll keep the ST for a bit longer I think and save up for a Litchfield

WTF?!!!!

The Subaru dealer I dealt with a while back gave me a 24 hour test drive and was brilliant (Bristol). That sounds appalling!!

Shocking! Completely unacceptable way for a dealer to behave! So they want you to commit to a car before you've even driven it?

That conduct is dealer speak for:

a) I don't want to serve Joe public at the mo; my tea will get cold
b) I don't think there is any way in hell this person can afford/really wants this car, so I'm not wasting my time with them. If I'm obstructive, they'll leave.

Go to another dealer and write to Subaru's customer service dept.

I couldn't quite believe it, my ST is worth over 10 grand it's not like I had £500 banger. Ah well did me a favour I suppose

Exactly what I thought. I had a £18k (ish) R32 to trade in which helped but as long as you have a full license, then it doesn't matter what you turn up in.

I HATE HATE HATE judgemental sales people. Nothing more satisfying than subtly making them realise they have just cocked up a potential decent sale though...

I thought He would jump at the chance to take an STI out considering all the other rubbish he sells
