Default Freelander 2 - Washer Jets

I have had problems all week with the Freelander. It has a heated windscreen so you can blast the ice off in a matter of seconds but the damn thing suffers from frozen water jets so I can't clear the screen once on the move.

Any ideas on how to keep the jets de-frosted???

high concentration screen wash. or have seen some heater kits that wrap around the wash pipes in the engine bay to warm the contents.

I remember reading years ago someone had extended the hoses for the water jets to wrap around the hot water pipes to the rad, but I think that was on something like a mk2 escort!

I thought screen wash would have kept it running free but making the solution more concentrated does seem quite obvious now I have read it

Screenwash is glycol based (like common antifreeze). So just up the concentration.

I run 30% concentrate at this time of year in my cars. Rarely freezes.

I keep a 5 gallon drum of it, and also use it neat in spray bottles as de-icer
