hi all, im after a bit of advice please, im selling my mk4 golf, but havent got a clue what to advertise it for, as the prices range from 2k upto 4k

any input welcome, thanks
2000 v reg golf gti
2.0l mk 4 version 115bhp
5 door
82000 miles
tax till march 2010
mot till september 2010
good condition just needs middle pipe on exhaust, and passanger window mechanism sorting
dark blue in colour
all electrics
just changed oil, filter and plugs
16" alloys with only 1 scuff on one of the wheels
6x9 speakers mounted on rear shelf

thats actually a bit more than i thought lol, i was going to advertise it for £2350 ono, what do you reckon my chances of selling are? thanks

That was off the top of my head, and i was being generous, but what id do is look on pistonheads, ebay and autotrader and see what the similar car, mileage etc is going for and advertise at a price that is in the middle of all of them, more if you dont need to sell in a hurry or less if you want it gone, the golf gt tdis are always gonna be a better seller than the petrol but there will someone whos looking for one.

Oh take some good photos and be honest and thorough with the description so it doesnt leave the buyer guessing about the motors history

ok thanks for your help, prices seem to be all over the place at the minute, i think ill put it at £2500 and see what offers i get.
