It doesn't really go into full details, but clearly this is to get the 'average C02 emissions' of the Aston range down.
"But drivers must buy an Aston Martin – or already own one – in order to buy a Cygnet." - This is fortunate at least. I expect they'll fetch £25k+ used (compared to £20k new) as a result of this, as driving one is like saying - "my other car is a REAL Aston!"
Still erodes the brand though.

LOL @ how crap that looks compared with the "sneak preview" photos that were bandied about a few months back.
