Mine have been the custom maps up to now, but the forthcoming/latest (free update) stage maps will be based on the knock logging I added and the boost control I've rewritten.
I don't sell anything, it is all Ben, but I help him with the custom maps. With the spec of your car he'll give you a map that will be pretty near based on your mods (if any) and with some datalogs back it can be tweaked from there. The fuelling is closed loop to targets so doesn't usually need adjustment as it runs what we order. The boost is now similar with the new system. The timing is often tweaked a few degrees depending on your knock logs/fuel octane.

Just got mine back from the Optimisation yesterday.
Can't believe how much "tighter" it feels already.
Got the Accessport ready to install this weekend (with the Beta maps) so will be off to see the difference

No one young here
Having owned and modded a Scoob for many years I grew very tried (and poor) with the endless cycle of going to the mapper, having the map tweaked, learning that it was'nt quite right/needed a fix, to then go back to the mapper, having the map tweaked etc and so on.
The AccessPort is tried and tested with many GT-Rs. It's flexibility is key, try a map, take it off or try another map. It's has data logging onboard so you can see what's happening and keep things safe and best of all put it back to standard - all by yourself, without all the time, effort and expense of having to go back to the mapper.
It's a sign of the future. If someone did this for Scoobs I reckon they would fly off the shelves....

The Accessport is made for Scoobs too. Does live mapping too, which is a feature that will be added to the GTR too, by pro-tuners, so you don't have to turn off the engine and wait for it to flash to change something.
Once warmed I started to give it a bit - good grief, what a difference. It's not like the car was slow before but now it's savage! Now going to use the AccessPort to do Data Logging (another major feature of the device) and make sure all is well before moving onto Stage 2.
Got a slight bug - "Popup bonnet" warning light on the dash so went on the forums (COBB Forums - Powered by vBulletin). Was surprised to see all the other vehicles they support. If these had been around when I had my Scoob I'd have got one for sure!!
Just to add - I emailed Ben at 5:30pm on a Saturday and posted on the forum. Got a reply straight away from both Ben and Thistle on the forum. Bug is nothing to worry about and will by fixed via a download on Monday.
All in all, from my past modding disasters, the Cobb Accessport and it's backup/support is a revelation
Hmm, tough one to call! A base GT-R is no slouch but I reckon my Scoob could have taken it

The big problem with my Scoob was in modding, I was always trying to get the different components to work together properly. I was always trying to defeat the turbo lag whilst going for top power and reliability. After spending impossible amounts of money I eventually gave up. I only ever had the car reliable for a few weeks in 4 years of modding!!
To this day I still have Dave Wallis's words in my ears when I laid out what I planned to do with my TSL mapped, reliable 330BHP STi - he said "don't, you'll be sorry and much poorer". I take everything Dave says much more seriously these days, apart from when he's had a few beers

With the GT-R, there's a warranty friendly straight through mid-pipe on it and that's it for add on components, apart from the AccessPort, which is simply maximizing the stock components that are already on the car. There is no noticable lag at all and fingers crossed it should be reliable since the AccessPort provides full Data Logging (including Knock) to ensure things are running smooth.
All in all, my experience on the Scoob has gained me even more respect for the army of Scoob tuners and their achievements - both professional and people doing there own. Anyone that can put together a high power Scoob with reliability deserves a medal in my book!!
I've attended a couple of meets recently and the sound of an army of tuned Scoobs rolling into the car park still makes me feel good

Forgot to say, we still have Helen's WRX with PPP for fits and giggles so I still get my Scoob kicks with her Silver estate sleeper
In fact we're just off for the weekly shop in it now - brmm, brmm

You could look on Cobb's page for availability for your model and distributors I guess. Ben @ GTC keeps the GTR Accessport in stock, but I don't think he carries the others.
In terms of a Scooby taking a GTR, a GTR with only a map (not the maps you get with it, a custom one) can do a quarter mile in 11.0-11.1, and with a full exhaust 10.8-10.9. Not many Scoobies can do that, and those that can are unlikely to be nice to live with as daily drivers. None will do it with lots of low down torque, refinement, cruise control, autobox and a nice stereo all in one package.

Knobby, the accessport may allow you to return the map to normal for servicing, but it has been logged by the car. Should you have a gearbox/engine failure Nissan will be able to tell that you had an aftermarket map.
Given Nissan know that tuning the GTR is common, I'm sure they will check should you present them with a big warranty claim. As long as you know this and are happy with the small risk, then obviously it's no problem.
Enjoy the car, it's a beast for sure.

Sounds good apart from if it goes bang

For that very reason I'm not pushing the envelope to the maximum like some owners. It's not worth it in this weather anyway!
It will get cheaper as more are about. The only real worry is if it breaks during warranty when you are modified, but not due to your modifications. Luckily so far, Nissan have replaced some gearboxes and engines even on modified cars where the cause has been a manufacturing problem, although it is a fight and stressful for the owners. If it breaks due to your mods or out of warranty, well that is the way it is, pay to play and all that.
I'm quite pleased with the result linked. This is using some of my latest tricks of ECU boost control and boost limit removal, but I did not map this one. I think you'll like the power band
