Some new boots for the Rover :)
£441 delivered for new 18" wheels and tyres
Since when did wheel and tyre packages become so cheap? Not worth spending good money on this car, and the tyres that were fitted to the stock wheels were Dunlop runflats, no thank you with them prices
I needed 4 new tyres anyway and the stock wheels needed shot blasted/re painted, so off they came
Car currently stands me around £700 including everything i spent on it
Just past its MOT yesterday and it has 50k on the clock , barginz

Like it, they look like the Enkei ones I always choose on Gran Turismo, does it really only stand you at £800 ?
Isnt it generally regarded as the best car MG made ?

Its very split opinion, many consider it to be the weak link between the ZR and the ZT which are both meant to be fantastic cars, but I am biased owning a ZT.

I swapped it, for my 97 scooby (worth about 2k?), that needed 3k of work done to it to make it drivable (would have been its 4th engine ), so i had pretty much written off the cash i had put into the scooby over the years.
I could have made some money back if i had of decided to break the scooby for parts, but could not be arsed with the hassle, so i just gave up on it
I lost a lot of money with the scooby, and ploughed a hell of a lot of cash into it over the 6 years i had it, so i am reluctant to go down that road again

I think the ZT looks nicer (especially the mk1 version), no doubt it is made better due to the **** BMW influence, but the stuff i have seen from reviewers suggests that the ZS is the better drivers car.
Apparently honda themselves said that the ZS car was put together better then the equivalent Civic version, i can not remember where i read this, i compared mine with a Civic we had in for cleaning and the quality did seam a bit better, especially the seats, which seamed much more supportive.
At the end of the day though, the ZS is just an old civic that has been freshened up, the chassis IMO is awesome, its just a shame that even with the 2.5 engine, it still needs more power (for my liking)
It is a shame that the sprintex supercharger option was gash (and expensive) and not made very well, as i suspect they are much nicer to drive, Reyland do an Audi 1.8t engine transplant which gives 300bhp, a few decent videos on Youtube IIRC showing some battered old rover take down some scoobys and evos
I know a few of the chaps seam to buy the lower powered models, just because the t16 rover turbo engine drops right in.
I think you can get the 180 up to around 200bhp with simple induction/exhaust/remap mods, but pushing past this amount seams a waste of time (piper do a highlift cam kit etc etc) i dont really feel like pissing about with the engine to much, to easy to get sucked down the modding route
I have never driven a ZR so i cant comment on them.

Ok, for those who enjoy the Rover thang
My dad and my unlce, both have "identical" ZT's, except on is RWD and on FWD.
As demonstrated here, bear in mind they hadnt really done this before so it didnt go entirely to plan....
