Ford : Ford Capri 3.0S

Just makes all these boring plastic R8's and GTR's look worthlessly rubbish! Would love to have the money to pick this up at the mo.

Grew up with my old man owning Capri's. Had a White 3.0S with black roof. Then had a 2.8 Special before it got knicked within weeks of getting it.

He had some before as well, but I was too young to remember them.

Saucer of milk for Yoza

I would have to disagree that an ancient Capri makes the pinacle of affordable (relatively) 4wd supercars at the moment redundant, a 3.0S Capri is a lovely old thing but it wouldnt see which way a 2.0 Diesel Focus went, induces terror in the wet and has no modern creature comforts and will do about 18 mpg.

Sometimes the dream is better than the reality.

Love these cars, in my younger days when i was a bit too young for a car i used to look up to the older kids that had the old fords. most had 1.6 Cortina's/Capri's with the webers etc. if you were someone you had the MK2 Escort RS2000 but one guy at 19 went out and bought a 3.0s manual. Now when i grew up i was used to the performance of 1.6 Cortina's but the 3.0s felt like a rocketship.

But the biggest things that did it for me was those checkered Recaro fishnets - Yum.

Then in 1986 (i think) the 3dr Cosworth came along and pretty much made everything look crap and slow.
