I've a 2.0 TDI quattro sline on loan while my S3 is at Audi. Visually - even in non metalic red it looks very handsome especially with the 19" RS4 style wheels on. Spec wise its fully loaded with the all the toys.
Driving wise it very quite - excellent motorway cruiser but I would go for the slightly larger diesel engine, It does seem quite a big car, plenty of space inside but fairly agile and well placed on the road.
Do fancy trying a S5 or a cab version ! But would I buy one, no not at the moment but in a few years time very possibly !

My old man has had fast Audi's for years now. I honestly can't remember anything going wrong with them. Never in the dealer for anything other than a service.
The only thing I remember needing attention, was on his S4 (V6) when the Turbo bracket needed replacement after 14,000 miles. That was a common fault though.

I mentioned these to someone the other day and he said "nice, but is it me or these driven, by and large by aggressive *****", I kind of agreed, lovely but I had a really close overtake off one on my bike and one attached to my rear bumper in the car in the outside lane, I was doing nearly a ton and I couldnt see his lights, I moved over when I got the chance.

But there is definitely something about small engined (i.e. four pot) S-Line Audis and M Sported BMWs that seem to attract more than the average number of *****...

I think its more complex than that, its about demographics and whatever, cant say I have ever really seen Porsches being driven badly though, compared to the usual offenders. Possibly also the people who drive these are company drivers by and large and are always in a hurry so are a little more impatient.

What about early spec Scoobs then, or Nova drivers, or school run land rover drivers ...
we could compile a list and it would prob include every type of car based on everyones experiance .... mind you I have yet to see a **** driving a koeingssgegggeee
But I agree - demographics would tell more and defo company car drives are more likely to be included in the list and then BMW, Volvos, Audis and Fords will appear due to most company car lists.

I had a 318d M Sport with everything as a courtesy car two weeks ago while having a seatbelt housing fixed - I felt an absolute tit in it. All show, no go. Same with 2.0TDI Audis with S Line kit AND twin exhausts. No no no no no and no. We don't all want to shout about our motors when out on the road. It shouts very loudly of a lack of anything in the trouser department...

I have got an s-line ... the next up was the s5 that I could not warrent
the s-line look better in the a5 and come with extra toys not just plastic bits ...
and 211bhp is no slouch !
Crikey the thread started as opinion from those that have an experiance of them and it turns in a slack BMW's m-sport s-line and anything else we can !!!

Matt - Hallujah! When might you get it? Reviews really are very good. Not seen one yet (Audi garage 4 miles away so maybe ought to have a look).
Neighbour has just got a specced up A4 2.0TDI (cough cough) and the interior is a work of art. God knows what the S4 cabin is like!

A cousin has an A6 2.7TDI with full S-Line kit - 19" alloys on 255s, rock hard suspension, etc yet around 180bhp. It has presence but isn't a lot of fun to drive - it's also FWD!!!!
