$10,000,000 track car
I was at Donington today and there were a couple of very special track cars out.
First of all was the exquisite Ferrari 250 GTO being given beans and then followed the loudest track car I have heard which was an original Ford GT40 sports car. All original.
Guesstimate a minimum of $10m for the Ferrari and $2-3m for the Ford.
Amazingly the owner was not even there and had entrusted his team including Andrew Newell to give them a pre-Goodwood shakedown. And he was driving these cars on the limit and they were VERY quick.
Sadly I did not have my proper video camera with me. Shame.
Personally I was out in an R300 and my Suzuki Swift Sport (which felt great through Craners!!)

I am sure I read in top gear Chris Evans was saving up for a 250 GTO, circa £60 million. A quick google revealed a $28.5 mill sale in '08 Ferrari 250 GTO rumored to have sold for $28.5 million — Autoblog
