Evo 6 & Toyos
**** in general or just **** with Evo's?
Quite a few people on this BBS (myself included) would disagee with you if you're claiming the former!
Great wet weather grip, progressive break away - cheap too!!
I'm sure they're not the 'best' tyres in the world if silly money is on the table, but for the money I reckon they rock!!

Claudius has his own views on tyres, mainly coloured by how long they last going sideways.
I think in his case they managed about 1000kms before he'd melted them onto his arches... that may have been another brand though.
I've heard a lot of good things about the P-Zero Assimetrico's (apart from the price), but the Toyo's will be better than the standard S01's in the wet anyway

I've got toyo T1-s's on my Pug 205 Sprint / Hillclimb motor. They seem very good. However they are VERY soft and wear like no tomorrow ~ but then again on the fronts of a agressively driven 205 GTi their life isn't going to be great.
Very good in the wet

Well I can wholly recommend Bridgestone S03's on an Evo VI.
I've heard good things about Toyo's but not tried them personally, but as S03's can be had for around £100 a corner I'll probably stick with them in the near future (Oh and I've still got 3 new ones in the garage
)
Cheers,
Phil

If Toyos dont deliver what they claim to then surely the buying public should be informed.
What i heard is that Toyos inner side walls crack and break down, not too sure if that only applied to the 18" size though??
Rich.
Thanks Rich. I see you have tried them as well
Another confirmation by Mr 6 that they are what they are was deleted by the moderator!
Maybe we could get an explanation why the moderator felt it to be appropriate to infringe our right of free speech?

Not fun, and I've not heard of that on Toyos, as for sideways life, what tyres were used on the Sideways World Record holding car again

(Just like to add I've never had Toyos on any performance car, but I'm sure what has prompted the critism either... Not read much bad about Toyo's, even OE on TVR's now
)
"what tyres were used on the Sideways World Record holding car again?"
I dont know. The ones with the least grip I would guess?
In fact, I read the article about Simon de Sideways, congrats BTW, do you think he could have done that with A032s?

I think you'll find the inner side wall of any tyre will crack eventually if you drive round with bad geometry or low tyre pressure.
I use PZero's and never had any problems, apart from lasting around 10k miles which sucks. A friend of mine has had the same tyres on her Jeep renegade for 10 years and they're fine.
