Volvo V50 - When is it due for replacement? And other co. car dilemmas!
I need to start thinking about changing my co. car.
In these uncertain economic times, I have decided to keep a co. car rather than take the cash and buy/lease my own.
This means I am limited to VW, BMW or Ford type brands and diesel.
I like the look of the V50 Sport with the 2.4 engine but they seem to have been around for ages!
Anyone know if or when they are due for replacement?
The other car on the shortlist is another Octavia vRS. This ticks all the boxes but it would mean essentially having the same car for 6 years which I think I would get bored with.
All the Audis, BMWs in my price band are either too small (A3 1 series) or too poverty spec. (318dES).
A 2.2 Mondeo titanium might be interesting but it's a bit dirty on the co. car tax.

V50 won't be replaced for ages as Volvo tend to run their models for ages- 8 years at least. You get stop/start technology etc on these now, good on CC tax.
In my firm most people get a similar car list from the sound of things, and most people tend to get the poverty spec Audi or Beemer and just pay for some options like decent alloys and stereo out their own pocket.
