Default Are any of your old cars still alive and kicking?

Click on Vehicle Enquiry on the link below and enter the make and reg number:
http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/

If the "Date of Liability" is in the past, it's likely that it's no longer on the road. Sad to see that my old STI v3, which I had from 1998-2006, is 'no longer with us'. However, my ex-Escort Cossie (1997-1998) and an F reg 205 CTI (1995-1997) are still going strong!

Amazingly my old TZR 125 is still on the road, 1988 model, sold it in 1994!

My 4x4 saph cossie I sold 10 years ago is still on the road, my 2wd I sold a year before hasn't been taxed since 2003.

Very odd.
I put a new private reg on my car over a week ago.
Obviously I've got a new tax disc with my new reg on direct from DVLA, but the data base still has the old reg on it.

Just a case of being slow to update and would I get flagged up on an ANPR?

At the bottom of the page it states the database was last updated at the end of April 09

If the year is in the past, is that likely the year it was kicking around until ?

Can't believe the first Fiesta I drove lasted 14 years after we sold it!

I bought a Peugeot 306 DTurbo brand new in 1998 on an R plate.

I paid £12,700 for it..

The only problem it has had was fuel starvation, and upon stripping the tank and sender unit part of a latex glove was found in the scavenger pickup gauze... :suss:

My wife still uses it as a station car and run about, it looks and drives like new, and has covered 98,000 mls.

So, yes, one of my old cars is still running.

in order from youngest to oldest. . . . . . . .
1995 astra sport---still alive, saw it myself 2 weels ago!
1995 fiesta--------dead oh well!
1995 fiat uno------dead RIP
1994 astra Gsi-----dead RIP
1990 R5 GTturbo---alive. nice to see as she was a beauty!
1989 saphire-------dead RIP

all the dead vehicles have nothing to do with my driving, just the former keepers not looking after them. its a shame that a lot of old cars get neglected as some of them were lovely motors in their time.

saw my dads old rover P6 V8 3500--- XWD 44H resting on top of a scrap yard pile of cars many years ago as I was passing on a train. Now that was some piece of kit in the 70's.

all rather upsetting ! and of course, I wish we still had it now.

Wish I had'nt found this thread

Just found out my little G40 Polo died sometime in 2003, such a shame

Looks like my STi IV is still going (wonder if anyone knows where it is now, Mica Black STi IV reg R*** ORU ??), as is my old e46 M3, I know my FD3 RX7 died in 1999 as I was driving it at the time.

Good God, my first car is still around. 1988 Mini, now 21 years old and taxed until October.

It was rusty as hell when I owned it for a while in 1995 though
