Audi A6 Allroad
Hi all
Thinking of buying a Audi A6 allroad. 2.5 diesel, 51'plate, 113K, tiptronic, green, half leather, new tyres, serviced for £3500.
Has a problem though, front passenger side air bag suspension leaks.
So, anyone had one ? views ? thoughts ?

My old man tested one of these when they first came out. Not bad, but basically an Estate car that raises it's suspension.
If you live on a farm, or journey onto farm tracks at a regular interval, then I can see the point. Saves scraping the cars floor along nasty bumps. If not, a standard A6 would be a better choice (Less to go wrong)
The suspension raises very slowly, and the Diesel engine in such a big car can feel wanting. If you potter about, then it'll be fine.
Old man decided it wasn't for him, and bought a proper off-roader instead.
I'd imagine the suspension will be quite expensive to replace too.

Mmm the suspension air bags are £500 each from Audi dealers, or £300 from indys. Brother wants it to ferry around his children, and if you've got kids you know how much crap you need to take with you, hence the estate.
Like the idea of it having 4x4 aswell, and for £3500 is a lot of car for the ££££. The current owner is a friend and has just spent £££ on new tyres, new suspension wishbones for the front, service, and refurbed the alloys, but as he does a lot of miles, has traded it in for a VW Torvan or something. The dealer has offered him £3500, hence the price to my brother.
