It is not very expensive (in Germany), so it will most likely do so.
It will also eat the M3 for breakfast etc etc...........

I saw one in Lyon today, looked like any other TT from the rear (including daft spoiler); sounded nice though.

For similar money I'd go for an M3.

It beats the M3 0-60, and prolly does the same with the recovery times.

When they road test it, we will see!

It`s an age old argument, but there`s more to a good car than a fast 0-60 sprint time.

Personally I don`t think the TT-RS is aimed at the M3 anyway (doesn`t the S4 and RS-4 try to compete with the M3?).

TBH, I don`t quite know what the TT-RS is trying to compete with.

Cayman, SLK, 350Z maybe.

Anyone know its 30-70 time, a much better indicator of road driving performance ?

Like I said, it will be interesting to see how it fares when they test it.

They are also talking about a 300 PS Golf in the works.......who knows where this is going?

It's great isn't it!

We went through a patch of only a few manufacturers making fast cars and now they are all making super fast motors

The need for power/speed, is back!

It seems like they can make "eco" cars that go like **** off a shovel!

Using this as a reference Ford Focus ST v VW Golf GTI v Audi S3 v Vauxhall Astra VXR | Car Group test | evo

I read in the evo magazine that the Focus is the least powerful and equates to the lowest power to weight, but the wheel HP per tonne will be similar to the TT [ish]. If you look at the midrange of the 5 pot especially in the higher gears – it is seriously brisk boxing well above it’s weight! [The focus is the list on the far right!]

In order it is the Regal golf, VXR, S3 then the focus.

E92 does 0-100 in 10.1secs (414bhp)
Audi TTS does 0-100 in 12.6secs (268bhp)

Audi TTRS will obviously be quicker than the TTS with an additional 70hp but not sure if it will match the overall pace of the M3.

What is the expected UK price, anyone know?

This thing will probably remap straight to 400hp.
