Default Seat Exeo

I have been seeing a lot of adverts for this recently and it has got me thinking....... ok, it does look like an Audi but it certainly seems value for money

that's the one based on the B7 Audi A4 platform though, no wonder it looks like an Audi.

Yup old gen Audi, albeit with the newer engines and common rail diesels..(no more Pumpe Duse).

I presume it still runs a transaxle gearbox like the A4? (unlike the Passat B6 which now runs a more conventional traverse engine/box, due to it being based on the stretched Golf platform whereas older models were shared with the A4).

Handy things to know if it pops up on your company car lists and you can't have an Audi

Its running the same engines the B7 was, identical running gear. Its litterally the same car but with new front and rear grafted on. It has the A4 Cabriolet dash which is also nicer than the saloon/avant one.

Just looked it up, I imagine values will drop fast, just can't see a Seat Exec saloon working.
I would be a second hand Audi instead (or BMW)

B7 had PD diesel though; they were not common rail. The Exeo shares VAG's CR diesel engines as founds in the B8

So thats a B7 platform with the B8 diesel engines.
