Don't know about the side lamps, usually when this happens, a bulb has failed (or bad connection). I know the indicator lamp take the function of the parking lamp should the side lamp bulb fail, not sure on the other way round.

Constant bleeeping reverse sensors is usually a faulty sensor in the bumper (Body control ECU should log a fault code), they don't take to kindly to parking shunts. Or the car has a tow hitch fitted (they don't work with tow hitches fitted, which is why most have removable tow bars ).

constant parking sensor car be water in one of them happened to me over the winter. should dry out also make sure there isnt any dirt stuck on one of them. If not one of them is bust, easy job to replace.

They have a habit of going through turbo's, manifolds and cats. 50-60k per clutch before you start on the consumables. 10k service intervals too.

On the flip side, with DMS plus filter/exhaust they are fooking brisk.

Eh?

My 330D is on 74k and no problems with the clutch at all. Service is as per the on-board indicator, 18k interval in my case.

You might want to consider replacing the inlet manifold as the swirl flaps have been known to break off and get sucked into the engine. Turbos do fail too, though you hear of that a lot more on the 320D rather than the 330.

Mine's an '04, which I've had 3 years so far... maybe they're very different, or we drive differently?

The MY03> is a 204hp isn't it? I know they have a different engine [3.0 as apposed to 2.9] different box and lower emissions / better fuel economy and evidently longer service intervals? Perhaps the more linear power delivery is why your clutch has lasted ok too?!?!?

Mines an 02 Auto & is rock solid, not a single problem; had it now almost 4 years, though low mileage at 41k.

ps dont bother with DMS remap on Auto gearbox a friend tried that on Bmwcarmagazine forum & that much torque running through std auto slush box almost ripped the whole box off mounts after a couple of years of driving. Also another one of us fitted the ESS supercharger onto a 330i with auto box. The conversion was spot on but auto box couldnt handle the power & IIRC eventually went kaput.
