uprating a 1.8ST celica
I've got a 1.8ST celica, but it need a freshen up.
Its never going to pull up trees I know, but I'd like to improve the braking and suspension.
I have fitted my spare scooby wheels so from that I can deduce that the pattern is 5x100.
Will a scabby old set of 99 four pots go on?
What about uprating the suspension? are eibach etc options?
I did consider trying to snaffle some standard bits from an uprated gt4 but by all accounts the suspension system is totally different.
any ideas please as its a great car that hasn't needed a thing for four MOTs in a row but needs pulling into line a little to keep it fun.
car is a 97 R btw

I'm not too sure about the lower end Celicas, but the brakes on both of my ST205 were good, are you sure there isn't a way to make these fit?? 315mm all round with 4 pots on the front and 2 pots on the rear IIRC.
Would suspension kits for the UK 2.0GT model not fit right onto your model?? I was a member of the GT4OC, but think there is another place called Celica Club or something along those lines which would help more than here I guess.
Cheers,
Grant

Thanks for that guys.
I'm not getting a GT4, yet.
It is a car I would like a punt on someday, a rather nice WRC spec in white which seem to fetch about £3.5k down here, but still just about enjoying 400bhp through a stripped out RA.
I love my poverty spec "silly car", did a track day in it and it handles so predicatbly its a dream to throw into the corners.
I'm going to treat it to a bloody good service and look at either GT4 brake set up or try some old my99 scoob 4 pots.
As for handling it seems I can get Eibachs which might be a good start.
cheers
