Default Motorpoint

I'm looking for a runabout at the moment, but ideally still within warranty.

A friend of mine told me about Motorpoint, the car supermarket, and I've had a look on there and they seem to have some good deals.

Has anyone else had experience of buying from them and is there much room for haggling as you would with a normal dealer?

They will try to rape you even harder than a normal dealer does if you take there finance.

Yep noticed that, 13.8% APR on most deals, so they'll be raping someone, but not me.

I'm just looking for a straightforward cash purchase, so are they any good in that situation?

Depends on your point of view, probably had a big effect on the new and used car market as used prices dropped as a result of being able to buy new ones cheaper, but if you actually want to buy a car it's a good thing

We did OK out of Motorhouse 2000. When main dealers were selling nearly new sub 10k Fabia VRs's for £10.5k+, we bought two (one 2k miles, other 6k, both 6-8 months old) from them for £9k each. One of them we sold on 6 months later with another 12k miles on it for £9k, so it was a free car, and it earned me loads as a driving instructor car Still got the other. They did try and sell us a £300 warranty, but I pointed out that both cars were still well within the manufacturers 3yr warranty to which they said many people still take it Their finance was expensive too, so we paid cash using a 4.9% loan to top us up.
