Default Aston Martin Vantage 06

I have come across this site...

G.C Motors, used cars in Harrogate - Virtual Showroom

If you scroll to the bottom, you'll see the red Aston Martin, £47k so priced out of my league in cash terms, however looking at the finance details on the car has got me wondering

£367pm with a £5k initial outlay is affordable in anyones books.

Im aware of the running costs on such a car and that would certainly be worth thinking about before jumping in heads first but there are a few cars there taking my fancy at under £600pcm.

In this example, if you took the car out for 3 yrs, it would only cost you £13,212+£5k initial = £18,212 for 3yrs.

What's the catch if there is 1? Is it just a case that the car wont depreciate much from now on in hence the GFV having an effect on how cheap the finance is?

Mitch

Sounds too cheap to me on a £47k car. There could be a twist to the wording they're using, as in you can have the car with a deposit FROM £5k, and payments FROM £367/pm, but not necessarily the two combined if you see what I mean. For example, you'll maybe get the low monthly payment with a £15k deposit etc. Who knows though...give them a call.

That will depriciate as well, as you need people like yourself to resell on to.

If it's a PCP finance deal you would just simply hand the car back at the end of the term.

Cars like this do not depreciate heavy from now on in so perhaps the GFV of the car is quite high hence why you only need to finance a portion of the overall cost? I.e, i can still see this car selling for £25-£30k when it's 10yrs old, so if the car at 6yrs old is still going to be worth say £35k, then you would only finance the £12k in between? (I dont know, ive never taken out PCP, so dont really know the ins and outs of how it works)

It does appear to be too good to be true though, not unless like above the wording is a little sneaky or they've made a typo error?

There is also a year old Audi RS4 on there for under £500pcm which again seems cheap.

It does say for ltd companies and business users only so there'll be VAT on top.Sometimes they knock the tax relief off also so that might need adding back onto the monthly repayments. All you can do is phone up and ask. Nowt to loose mate.

LOL,

...You will owe them 30k at the end of the 3yr finance deal...so unless you had the cash youd need to refinance or sell the car to pay it off!

I went to look at a car there less than a fortnight ago.
The finance deals advertised are for high net worth individuals or companies.
The staff are down to earth though. Shame they offer bottom book on part X changes.

I've seen their site many times. Always have a few 911's in.

That's very cheap, but it's clearly had some sort of prang to the passenger side front corner and they're not offering any finance, so don't want to see it back!. There's a big chunk of paintwork missing, the bumper is deformed and the headlight isn't sitting pretty in the bonnet. As far as I know that bonnet is one huge piece of carbon fibre (my brother's got one), so you could be looking at a big bill for bodywork repairs, notwithstanding any hidden mechanical damage. Having said all that, it really is a low price and if the damage is only light and superficial and you've got a friendly bodyshop, then who knows?

PCP's are limited on mileage too, that price could be for a maximum of 1000 miles a year and £1.50 for every mile over that?

yes -- i noticed the front bumper was a bit skew whiff -- the light cover doesn't look right -- I wondred why they bothered to take a pic

but as you say they prob have priced it to sell

still -- after the 355 my fav car -- look tons better than most things even today

You can purchase this vehicle for as little as 5,000 pounds deposit and instalments of 367 pounds with a balloon at the end,

Can you choose what balloon you get at the end?

Is that the kinda finance deal that gives you the options at the end of the term??

- Re-finance the balloon amount for next X amount of years
- Hand car back and walk away from any negative equity
- Pay the balloon off and take any equity forward to your next purchase

Cheers,
Grant
