I want to hate them, I want to think that they are only fit for sunbed estate agents, However..... I really like them. I thought about getting one as a daily hack too.

An M-car in the truest sense. The only thing missing is its not LHD only and doesn't have the dog-leg gear shift pattern
Only ***** would judge it on its looks or by the amount of electronics and interior goodies it has (i.e the average BMW/now Audi owner ) .
I think its the fact its unpopular with the Smith/Jones clique is what makes it so special. You know, the types that wax lyrical about lardy M3s, yawn.

Sorry to buck the trend but I think they look hideous. Sure, it'll be fun to drive, but those looks just don't do it for me. The Volvo and Scimitar are cool however.

My Dad had one of these a few years ago, in that yellow/gold colour. Yes, looks are an acquired taste, but a great car to drive, full of character, I drove it a couple of times and really enjoyed it

Love them.
Finally drove one a few weeks ago after many years of wanting one: a mate has just bought one. It didn't disappoint, even though the game has moved on.
Still felt a very special car, although don't thing one could be run on a budget: 911 running costs seem to be the norm.

It actually lead me to an even more sick realization. My mate bought a 2007 2.0se Z4 roadster for £24,000 in mid-August 2008 (4 months ago) with 1200 miles on the clock. It now has 3500 miles and, as far as I can tell, is worth about £16-17,000. That's £7-8k loss in 4 months!!!!!! WTF happened to the market for these cars???? You can get 2008 2.0se Z4 roadsters with delivery mileage only for £19,950 before you've even started to haggle!
