bmw 330i exhaust
hi we are having trouble with our bmw 330i with it drinking fuel and i have put it down to the butterfly in the exhaust not opening at all.
could any one give me advice if they have had the same problem or any idea how to sort it out.

the car is running fine etc but the exhaust note sounds odd now and i noticed the butterfly does not open so dont think it will be the MAF.

Guy at work had similar on a petrol X3, butterfly valve stuck open. That drank fuel as well as rattled the exhaust -Unfortunately dont think its an item can fix yourself as it too far in the exhaust - but might be able to poke it open with some thing.
New back box time ?
